  The room was cute and quaint, with a great view of the ocean. However, the moment I walked in the door I could smell there was some mold and mildew. I did a walk through trying to find it. There was visible black mold on the outside of the front door, and I suspect it is behind the walls on the inside. I am quite sensitive to mold and mildew so it's very easy for me to smell it and tell if it's there. There's obviously a lot of moisture which gets in there, as the door knobs and the door chain on one of the side doors in our unit were rusty. The dishes appeared clean when we got there but it's hard to say as there's was no dishwasher in the unit. That said, the room with cute and quaint, the bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were fine.
  
  We did like the place. My main complaint was the obvious hidden mold and mildew issue inside, as it affected me pretty bad. The door knobs were rusted and green like they've been at the bottom of the ocean. Perhaps something happened, as there was a part of the building next door which look like it used to be a unit or was going to be a unit that was clearly gutted and getting remodeled. That said, if you have a zero sensitivities to mold and mildew it was a cute, quaint unit. I do wish they would do some mold and mildew remediation in the units and behind the walls, because I did like the cottages and would stay there again if it wasn't for that.
